The annual holiday fundraiser for the Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre, put on by my dear friends Mara Nesrallah and Tom Upjohn.

PARC is the primary service and community hub for a large population of people living in south Parkdale recovering from mental illness and/or an addiction along with precarious shelter, food insecurity and social isolation.

The music program "offers an opportunity for new and experienced musicians to express themselves creatively and emotionally, connect with others, develop their craft, and entertain audiences. The Music Program is a means for members to engage with the arts in a meaningful way and can potentially lead into employment opportunities. For many people, music is an escape, but for our members’ music is part of a journey involving healing, growth, self-determination and empowerment".
