We welcome our second guest to our monthly series at the Tranzac: pianist Noah Franche-Nolan.

This new quartet featuring Madeleine Ertel on trumpet, Reknee Harrett on bass, Naomi McCarroll-Butler on alto saxophone and clarinet, and drummer/ percussionist Joe Sorbara continues a monthly residency at the TRANZAC on the second Wednesday of each month at 10pm.

This band explores our own original music; pieces by free jazz luminaries such as Carla Bley, John Carter, Ornette Coleman, and Andrew Hill; and, importantly, compositions by other members of the Toronto creative music community. To that end, each month we invite a guest from Toronto’s improvised music community to add a few original compositions to our book and join us in playing their music to open the night.
