This new quartet featuring Madeleine Ertel on trumpet, Reknee Harrett on bass, Naomi McCarroll-Butler on alto saxophone and clarinet, and drummer/ percussionist Joe Sorbara continues a monthly residency at the TRANZAC on the second Wednesday of each month at 10pm. This edition of the group will be without our dear trumpeter Maddy.

We will explore our own original music; pieces by free jazz luminaries such as Carla Bley, John Carter, Ornette Coleman, and Andrew Hill; and, importantly, compositions by other members of the Toronto creative music community. To that end, after a few months of settling in, the plan is to have a guest each month who will add a few original compositions to our book and join us in playing their music to open the night.
