Cole Blouin is an improvisational guitarist, composer and songwriter whose music wanders in the wilderness between the singer-songwriter, jazz, contemporary classical, and American folk traditions. His work has been described by Tin Hat's Carla Kihlstedt as being "very beautiful and very strange". Formerly a liberal arts student at Oberlin College, he now studies Contemporary Improvisation at New England Conservatory.

Led by songwriters Justin Orok and Tiffany Wu, Decoration Day is a chamber-folk group based in Toronto. Bringing together musicians from classical, indie rock, and improvised music circles, the group’s approach to traditional song forms is striking and wholly unique. Fluttering acoustic guitars and crystalline vocals rest atop a soft sound field of violin, harmonium, vibraphone and bass clarinet.
