Based in Toronto, this chamber-folk group brings together an array of peculiar and beautiful acoustic instruments including the vibraphone and harmonium. Members of decoration day are emerging artists in the Toronto music scene, and have performed with artists such as Mary Margaret O'Hara, Christine Duncan, David Occhipinti, and HIGHS. Drawing inspiration from Nick Drake, Daniel Rossen, as well as textures of 20th century classical music, the songs are heartfelt and in flux. Melodies and lyrics are gently knit into a quilt with patches of warmth and sting that will surely remind you of your first heartbreak, as well as the joy of realizing you hadn't lost your keys after all.

Their debut EP, Blind Contour, is a musical scrapbook chronicling a couple finding and later losing their first true love, then eventually creating music together as a sort of cathartic grieving. Impressionistic poetry married with intricately woven songs invoke the feeling of a warm embrace that’s slightly out of reach, and nostalgia for things that could have been.

~ The Lifers ~
The Lifers are a Guelph-based art-folk/rock collective led by sisters Liv and Anita Cazzola. They sing with voices dancing like veins, intertwined and bleeding for every word. Softly plucked strings, accordion swells, and lush, reverberant waves blend into rip-roaring drums, soaring melodies and raving strums. Their stories command tender tones and explosive energy, sometimes within a single breath. The Lifers explore notions of home, family, community, and the Canadian experience, delicately highlighting the beauty, vulnerability and power of nature, challenging both genre and audience. 
With influences like Feist, Dan Mangan and The Staves, The Lifers have released LP "Out and In" (2016) and EP "Set the Sails" (2014). Whether in an intimate duo arrangement or with the thunderous six-piece band, The Lifers have been an unexpected gem at festivals such as Hillside and Summerfolk (2016), on Canada's East and West Coasts (2015, 2017), and in listening rooms around Southern Ontario. Sister, the single for their second LP (May 2018), will be released in fall 2017.
